Prajapatir vai idam-agre asit
Tasya vak dvitiya asit
Vak vai Paramam Brahma
                                     --Vedas

In the beginning was Prajapati (the Creator),
With Him was the Vak (the Word),
And the Vak (the Word) was verily the
Supreme Brahma.
